A board of directors governs the Central Texas Methodist Foundation, sets policies, and engages a president to conduct day-to-day operations. Of the current 21 directors, 15 are elected by the Central Texas Conference and six are serving ex officio during their terms in the following offices within the Conference: the Presiding Bishop; Conference Lay Leader; President, Council on Finance and Administration; Chair, Commission on Church Growth and Development; a designated representative of the Conference Board of Trustees; and a designated representative of the Cabinet, whose members are appointed by the Bishop. The chair of the Foundation Board may also appoint up to five members as advisory directors.
