Certificates of Participation (CPs) enable United Methodist members and churches in Texas to:
- Earn above-average interest rates.
- Invest a minimum of $1,000 in any increments.
- Choose 1-, 2-, or 3-year terms.
- Pay no fees.
- Earn interest, which may be compounded quarterly or paid quarterly, annually, or when the CP matures.
- Reinvest interest or withdraw it quarterly or annually.
- Offered exclusively to United Methodists in Texas, CPs are managed by the Central Texas Methodist Foundation to make church loans under strict guidelines and secured by first mortgages on property and buildings.
